A sapphire anniversary – this honor is only accorded a few people in the world. The century monarch Elizabeth II. has now reached this mark. She has been on the British throne since 1952 and for now 65 years. For this special anniversary, there are many collector coins as special editions – including a commemorative coin of the Pobjoy Mint.

The private mint celebrates the Sapphire Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II with a limited “Two-Headed” coin. Such a design is an absolute exception – on both sides of the coin is one and the same person to see, namely Elizabeth II.

By default, the Pobjoy Mint brings the in-house design of the royal portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. to the front sides of the coins. On the back the Jubilee portrait of the Queencan be seen. The front was coined sublime, the back, however incus andalso with a “reverse proof” finish.

With the special coin Queen Elizabeth II is honored, who took over the office of the British Queen at the age of 25 years after the death of her father, king George VI. Since February 6, 1952, she has held the throne. In 2015, she became the longest reigning monarch. This record had been previously held by her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria.

The coin has a face value of $ 10 and a diameter of 38.6 millimeters. It has a circulation of only 1,952 pieces – in reference to the year of the coronation of Elizabeth II.
